New episode: 'Taking the pulse' in a hybrid working age

Our latest HR Most Influential podcast episode is now available to stream and download

A new episode of the HR Most Influential podcast has gone live, featuring Tiger de Souza, executive director of people and culture at suicide prevention charity Samaritans.

Episode 6, the final episode of Series 3, explores the relationship between HR leaders and their organisations. The episode discusses how leaders can 'take the pulse' of their organisation – even in hybrid workplaces, or those where HR works far from the front line.

De Souza sits down with HR magazine editor Charissa King to dig into why it's so important to consciously and intentionally rebuild communication channels that may have previously only existed through spontaneous meetings or open doors.

Discussing both qualitative and quantitative approaches to understanding employee engagement and mood, de Souza shares honestly from his own efforts at Samaritans, and why he has found listening so vital to his work.

In the podcast, de Souza explores:

  • His efforts to build a unified working culture
  • Why openness truly is a virtue
  • Why collaboration between people leaders is so helpful.
