HR Consultancy of the Year 2023: People Station
People Station’s partnership with IT company Miss Group is exactly the kind of consulting that is helping to transform the HR profession’s image.
Engaged with a wide remit to revitalise Miss Group’s vision, mission and values, People Station has managed to instil the organisation with a positive, forward-thinking and people-first ethic that has produced consistent growth in revenue, profit and engagement.
With 500 employees spread around the world, Miss Group presented a challenge in terms of developing a unified culture. Committed to building a culture that truly reflected the group, People Station’s team kicked off the collaboration with an off-site workshop held at the luxury resort Boho Club in Marbella.
The event was the first time that the leadership and management teams had ever met in person, and proved to be the perfect springboard for transformation.
Team members were encouraged to contribute to open discussions and a thorough co-creation process that would shape the essential guiding principles of People Station’s efforts.
Launching the partnership with Miss Group’s leadership was a canny step: it formed a lasting bond between supplier and client, and gave Miss Group an enduring sense of ownership and commitment to the resulting plan.
In the words of Mattias Kanetag, founder and CEO of Miss Group: “People Station’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment set the tone for the entire event.
“The workshop facilitated open discussions and idea-sharing, which allowed for the co-creation of a dynamic operational plan.
“It proved to be a pivotal moment for our leadership and management teams.”
The partnership between the two organisations achieved “transformative results,” Kanetag said.
One stunning example is People Station’s optimal restructuring of Miss Group’s processes and operations, which is saving the company £500,000 annually.
Building a change and transformation team by recruiting highly experienced personnel, People Station then engaged management in the data gathering and analysis process, while embedding employee perspectives into the new structure by running engagement sessions.
By actively involving employees at every stage of the transformation, People Station has succeeded in building lasting change.
Whether through town hall meetings, training sessions or regular communications – including the creation of brand-new communication channels – Miss Group’s employees have been involved at every stage of the transformation journey.
Thanks to People Station’s thoughtful and expert approach, Miss Group has enjoyed a dramatic improvement in performance.
Kanetag laid further praise on the consultancy and would recommend its services to other organisations.
He said: “We are now better equipped to face the challenges of our industry and seize growth opportunities with confidence.”
Miss Group’s numbers speak volumes. Consistently growing in revenue, profit and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization), the business is going from strength to strength.
Key performance indicators such as client and employee satisfaction, motivation and productivity all reflect strong positive change.
Judges were impressed with the initiative’s strong cost savings and business-linked goals.
One said: “The strategy clearly demonstrated synergy with the client, and delivered tangible business outcomes. An impressive entry.”
