HRMI 2022: Fiona Evans, director of people and culture, RSPCA

Fiona Evans joined the RSPCA in September 2020 after six years’ service as the Zoological Society of London (ZSL)’s HR director.

Awarded the HR Excellence Awards HRD of the Year Award in 2017, Evans has also been featured on the HRMI practitioner’s list for the past four years. A chartered fellow of the CIPD, Evans is also a qualified business and management coach.

Evans’ career spans over 30 years in a wide range of organisations across the public and charitable sectors, where she has honed her talents in the field of employee engagement, D&I, and developing inclusive, respectful organisational cultures.

Before joining ZSL, Evans was HR and marketing director for City and Islington college, where her remit included HR, OD, marketing, and communications.
