Working Families has announced the shortlist for the annual Top Employers for Working Families Awards, sponsored by Computershare.
The UK-wide awards celebrate and showcase employers that offer exceptionally flexible and family-friendly workplaces. HR magazine is a media partner for the awards and editor Katie Jacobs sat on the judging panel.
Chief executive of Working Families, Sarah Jackson said that the shortlisted entrants have “gone the extra mile with the support they offer their employees".
“With the strides we’ve seen in family-friendly legislation, and rising expectations among younger families about sharing work and care, these forward-thinking employers are rightly getting ahead of the game,” she said. “The finalists recognise the importance of going with the grain of their employees’ lives and they will be rewarded with loyalty and engagement.”
Julian Foster, managing director, business services at lead sponsor Computershare, said that excellent staff wellbeing is a universal characteristic of successful organisations. “By enabling employees to live rounded family lives employers themselves can benefit from a happier, healthier, loyal workforce that also helps improve the bottom line,” he said.
The results will be announced on 13 June at London’s Vintners’ Hall.
