British Library redesigns its careers website to show it's an innovative and unique place to work

The British Library has launched a new careers website and updated its employer brand proposition to present the library as a rewarding and exciting place for potential and current employees.

The library and research institution hopes to attract and retain staff for a variety of roles including IT, finance and marketing. The new website highlights the organisation as home to world-class collections and a leader in cutting-edge innovation and technology.

The site includes a new interactive fact-finder so potential employees can search what really interests them in a career.

Mary Canavan, HR director at the British Library, said: "There is a vast range of roles on offer at the British Library and sometimes navigating opportunities can be a complex process. Our research has found that we required an updated employer brand proposition to attract future candidates and part of this work was to re-emphasise our offer to candidates and staff through a renewed website.

"The aim of this new portal is to try and capture for employees, potential and current, all the elements that make the British Library an interesting innovative and unique place to work."
