The new benefits scheme, called A&N Rewards, was rolled out to 6,600 employees at Associated News on 4 May. Pre-launch communications included worksite posters, teaser emails and informative flyers featuring the competition to attract employees to the benefits site. Employees were required to register to the benefits scheme in order to enter the iPad competition.
Working with Asperity, A&N Rewards features employee discounts at over 1,700 online, high street and local retailers. Employees can make savings on their everyday shopping in various ways using the scheme, including cash back on online purchases, discounted vouchers and reloadable gift cards, discount codes and employee purchase plans. Savings can be anything from 2% cash back on eBay to 40% off at Sharp, or a 5% in-store discount at Sainsbury's and Asda.
Louise Winstanley, HR manager at A&N Media Group, said: "There was a real buzz in the company about our new rewards scheme because of the iPad competition - it really got interest levels up ready for scheme launch. It's great to see such engagement from employees so early on."
