Staff at Domestic & General benefit from a week of wellness activities

Staff at Domestic & General (D&G) have taken part in a week of wellness activity designed to improve their physical and mental wellbeing in the workplace.

The week included a range of activities such as beauty and massage treatments, advice on eating and diet, a Wii Fit session where employees could calculate their Wii Fit age, a visit from Nuffield Health which offered advice and free mini health checks, and even Nintendo visiting in conjunction with Change4Life to show employees about posture and balance and burning calories on the Wii.

Deborah Martin, site operations manager of D&G, said: "We feel it is really important to offer good health advice to our staff as they are the most important asset. Our previous Wellness Wednesday sessions have always been very popular so we decided to roll it out across a whole week.

"The reaction has been extremely positive and the staff have been very interested in all the events going on. The sessions were all fully booked and feedback has been fantastic with those that attended, saying they found it really informative as well as fun, and many of them asked when the next session will be.

"D&G takes the health and wellbeing of staff very seriously and so we are delighted with the way the week has gone and see this as something that can be built upon and expanded in the future."
