Her board-level portfolio encompasses HR, health and safety, facilities, project management and IT as well as being board sponsor for crisis management.
As a chartered fellow of the CIPD, Leghorn’s HR career has encompassed healthcare, technology, food services, pharmaceuticals, banking and environmental services in both the public and private sectors including consultancy with PwC.
She is an advocate for gender equality and all aspects of inclusion. Her commitment to improve the lives, position and opportunities of women, in and outside of the workplace, is informed by research into women and work which has earned her a doctorate from the University of Leicester.
More recently Leghorn is trailblazing the wellbeing, inclusion, sustainable development and social value agendas as part of the HR offering within the waste industry which has resulted in her being recognised as one of the waste and resources sector’s Hot 100 key influencers.
In 2021, she was also shortlisted for HR Director of the Year in the HR Excellence Awards.
