Sandy Begbie, chief people officer of Standard Life, discusses the impact of technology on HR in our new video series.
“Our technical expertise is really important,” he says. “And I think being able to link that to some of the big challenges businesses face… there’s a real agenda for HR and a great role for them to play.”
Begbie was awarded the prestigious title of Most Influential HR Practitioner 2016 at the HR Most Influential evening event this year. He described the experience as “a complete surprise.”
“I certainly didn’t expect it at all,” he says. “I was completely flabbergasted to be honest.”
