Simplyhealth's fleet of company cars is to go green

Simplyhealth is to replace 90% its fleet of company cars with greener vehicles by the end of the year.

The healthcare provider currently operates a fleet of 175 Skodas but plans to replace the majority with Honda Hybrids in a bid to reduce its impact on the environment.

The firm is about to take delivery of 40 Hondas with a view to replacing 90% later in 2009.

Romana Abdin, corporate affairs and HR director at Simplyhealth, said: "It's important for businesses to recognise the responsibility they have to help reduce their carbon footprint, and at Simplyhealth we are continually looking for ways we can do this. By changing our fleet to the Honda Hybrid, we believe we are making another positive step in helping to benefit our environment."
