HR magazine has been short listed alongside top financial and business titles for the accolade of monthly business magazine of the year at the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) awards and this year, our editor Siân Harrington is the only editor of a monthly business title to become a finalist for the PPA award for editor of the year (business media).
Harrington [pictured] said: "This is testament to the talent and hard work of my team in receiving recognition for these awards. But it is also fantastic news for the HR profession. The fact its strategic industry title is being judged alongside magazines designed for financial directors and accountants as well as the property and insurance industries, proves HR professionals are getting the credit they rightly deserve, in the business world."
The winner will be announced at a glittering 1920s themed ceremony in the Grosvenor Hotel in London on 30 June 2009.
