HRMI 2021: Simone Marquis, Culture and Inclusion, The Unmistakables

Marquis joined inclusion consultancy The Unmistakables in August 2020 as culture & inclusion director following 9 years in telecommunications at EE and BT Group.

As culture and inclusion director, Marquis leads the strategy and client engagement for consulting on people, workforce, leadership and culture initiatives and programmes of work. She works with global leadership teams and HR executives, providing disruptive, future-relevant, latest thinking and interventions on inclusion, diversity and culture. She recognises that traditional approaches in this area have not gone far enough fast enough and is relentless in her pursuit of meaningful change.

Prior to her role at The Unmistakables, Marquis spent 9 years in leadership roles across EE and the BT Group, designing and delivering strategies for talent, leadership, inclusion and culture. Prior to this, she began her career in consulting at the SHL Group.

Marquis is the daughter of a first-generation immigrant Egyptian mother, and is married with a mixed-race daughter, Sienna, to whom she credits as being her daily inspiration for the work that she does.
