HRMI 2021: David Liddle, CEO, The TCM Group

Liddle is CEO of the leading transformational culture consultancy The TCM Group, and founding president of the Institute of Organizational Dynamics. He is the author of two books: Managing Conflict (Kogan Page/CIPD), and the recently published Transformational Culture: Develop a People-Centred Organization for Improved Performance.

Liddle is a thought leader in the areas of organisational dynamics, conflict resolution, and transformational culture. He has spent the last 30 years reframing HR systems, management processes, and leadership behaviours, to help organisations put people and values at the heart of everything they do.

Following the completion of a degree in race relations in the early 90s, Liddle led several high-profile inclusion and regeneration projects, and established and led one of the first community mediation and restorative justice schemes in the UK.

In 2001, having been awarded an MBA with Distinction, Liddle established The TCM Group (Train. Consult. Mediate). His vision for TCM was, and still is, to reduce the negative impact of conflicts and complaints by creating the conditions for employees and managers to have quality conversations.

He is the creator of the FAIR Model™ which is the benchmark mediation and investigations model in use in workplaces across the UK, and of the Resolution Framework™, which has been adopted by numerous organisations to replace their discipline and grievance procedures.
