In the 2017 Thinkers50 Radar, Rowland was named as one of the generation of management thinkers changing the world of business. She is the co-author of Sustaining Change: Leadership That Works (Wiley, 2008), author of the best-seller, Still Moving: How to Lead Mindful Change (Wiley, 2017) and now the Still Moving Field Guide: Change Vitality at Your Fingertips (Wiley, 2020).
Rowland has personally led change in global organizations including Shell, Gucci Group, BBC Worldwide, and PepsiCo. She founded and grew a consulting firm that pioneered original research in the field, the latest efforts of which were accepted as a paper at the 2016 Academy of Management and at the 2019 European Academy of Management.
Alongside her change consulting work to CEO’s and senior leaders around the world, Rowland writes and speaks extensively on the topic of leading successful change, teaching at business schools such as Tuck, Imperial, Henley, and Bath.
She combines her faith and profession through her work with the Church of England where she is a member of the Strategic Investment Board.
She holds a double first in archaeology and anthropology from Cambridge University.
