Deloitte also won the Best for All Stages of Motherhood award from Working Families earlier in the year. Emma Codd, managing partner for talent at Deloitte, said one of the key ways the company encourages a positive attitude towards flexible working is framing it correctly.

“In our company the word ‘flexible’ had negative connotations, so we introduced the phrase ‘agile working’,” she said at the Working Families National Work Life Week Conference 2016. “Agile is positive, and agile firms are successful firms.”
