Up front: Voice from the floor - Data security

What a fickle lot employees appear to be.

After a string of stories at the end of last year revealing datasecurity leaks, lost personal details and security procedure lapses, more people (34%) believe their HR departments hold too many personaldetails compared to those who do not (22%). Yet, despite this fear andmedia hype, employees are confident about their HR departments' abilityto keep personal data they hold from getting into the wrong hands.Interestingly, males are less confident about HR's IT security thanfemales, with 28% 'not at all confident' compared to 21%. Males are alsomost likely to agree that HR holds 'too much information' (36% vs 32%);those from the North West most likely to be wary while those in theNorth East are most trusting.
