Munden joined Unilever as a graduate, after retiring from the armed forces for medical reasons. Since then, he has carved out a broad career across the globe, heading HR for divisions including: supply chain (UK), research and development (UK), home and personal care (Europe), personal care (global), Unilever Food Solutions (Americas) and business support and IT (global).
Having spent his entire FMCG career at Unilever, he becomes the fourth member of the board that started his career as a graduate. He said: "My goal is to make Unilever the employer of choice. Talent and leadership development are my main focuses, so employees can enjoy long careers here, progressing with increasing challenges and levels of responsibilities to suit their ambitions and benefiting from our ingrained ethos of agile working."
