In this role, Sewell will lead the HR function for the Heinz UK and Ireland businesses. She will report to Matt Hill, president of Heinz UK and Ireland, and to Steve Clark, chief people officer, HJ Heinz Company.
The appointment follows the promotion of Nigel Perry, previously HRD at Heinz UK and Ireland, to VP HR for Heinz North America.
Sewell began her career with Heinz in 2002 and led on HR business transformation projects. In 2007, she was promoted to HR business partner and then was head of HR for Heinz UK and Ireland Commercial.
The firms says the promotion is in recognition of Sewell's business partner support to UK and Ireland commercial functions and her progress with HR excellence, including capability. She joins the UK and Ireland board and the global HR Board, the team responsible for creating and implementing Heinz's global HR strategy.
