Symantec offers graduate and internship opportunities worldwide

IT software provider Symantec has launched a graduate recruitment and internship programme across Europe.

The company, which owns Norton Antivirus and employs 17,500 people globally, is to recruit 350 graduates worldwide and take on 39 graduates and 13 interns across nine European countries in 2010.

All 13 interns will be recruited in the UK along with 25 of the 39 graduates and Symantec will visit universities and recruitment fairs. The company has also created a Facebook hub to attract students to apply through the firm's online portal.

Michaela Burr, director talent acquisition for EMEA, said: "Despite the challenging times, Symantec is dedicated to investing in its people and attracting the brightest talent. We have grown enormously as an organisation in the past 10 years and it is important that our organisational culture matures at the same pace.

"The future looks positive for Symantec and we're excited about finding some of our future leaders among today's graduates."
