She will report to the group's chief executive, Gavin Freed and will lead on the group's national HR function, working with operations around the country to deliver on the people strategy.
Herft brings a wealth of experience with her, not only from the training and employment sector, but from her years in the healthcare sector, where she spearheaded the HR strategy for the Nestor Healthcare Group, providing HR services to the company's 81 branches.
An MCIPD-qualified HR professional, Herft joins esg. at a critical but exciting time for the business, which has just learned of its preferred bidder status from the Department for Work and Pensions to deliver its Work Programme across Coventry, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the Marches.
