Skanska, which is headquartered in Sweden, has 52,000 employees globally, and was one of the early adopters of talent-management principles in 2003 with software created in-house.
Over the next year, using Taleo’s recruitment, performance management, goal development, and career and succession planning, Skanska plans to implement an integrated and tailored approach to talent management.
Veronica Rörsgård, senior VP for HR at Skanska, said: "Skanska’s key to success is our skilled people. Implementing a global system for recruitment and talent management supports our goal of providing excellent development for our current employees and great opportunities for new talent coming to Skanska."
Skanska hopes to have improved visibility into the talent that powers the organisation, allowing it to better understand how to recruit, retain and mobilise HR for better business performance. Taleo’s platform provides a single, unified view of talent across the organisation, spanning the entire employee lifecycle.
“Many businesses have talent intelligence gaps which prevent them making the best decisions about their workforce,” said Adam Brenner, group vice president EMEA, Taleo. “By closing the talent intelligence gap, they will be able to recruit, train and retain the best people to drive growth.”
