In a record year of entries, there was a lot of discussion and debate at the judging day on Friday.
The competition was fierce, therefore the entries that made it onto the 2013 shortlist had to be doing something exceptional to be recognised.
The judges had to pick the best in HR excellence from the following categories:

Best HR team: not-for-profit/third sector
Best HR strategy from overseas
Best talent management strategy
Most successful change management programme
Most effective benefits strategy
Most effective use of internal communications
Outstanding employee engagement strategy
Most effective recruitment and retention
Health and wellbeing award
Best use of CSR in HR
Most innovative use of technology
The following awards are announced on the evening and were not open to general entry:
Most people-focused CEO
HR rising star
HR director of the year
HR gold award
When will the winners be announced?
The winners are unveiled at the prestigious gala dinner and awards ceremony, taking place at the London Hilton on Park Lane later this year. A black tie dinner attended by more than 500 HR professionals, enjoying a top class host, three course meal and of course celebrating the best in HR.
