Saatchi & Saatchi X gives graduate candidates 30 seconds to impress senior executives in a lift

Creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi X has invited graduates to its agency offices on Friday to pitch for a job - in the lift.

Graduates will have 30 seconds in the lift for their pitch to impress the senior management team. Those who are impressive enough will go to the second round interview stage from which graduates will earn a place at the Saatchi & Saatchi X Boot Camp.

Saatchi & Saatchi X specialises in shopper marketing and is looking for graduates that are passionate and innovative in their thinking.

At boot camp, each participant will be coached in response to a live brief, ensuring their full potential is recognised and that they leave with valuable marketing experience. Those who show particular flair will be selected for a six week placement at Saatchi & Saatchi X working on shopper marketing campaigns for some of the world's leading brands.

An extended offer of a year contract is up for grabs to the placement winner that could lead to the possibility of a long-term career opportunity with Saatchi & Saatchi X.

Leading up to the day and throughout the process, Saatchi & Saatchi X will be tweeting @XLiftPitch and answering questions as well as providing career guidance on Facebook at on.fb.me/xliftpitch. As a follow-up to all participants, in early May the agency's senior management team will be providing live feedback on the XLiftPitch Facebook page in their specific areas of expertise.

Claire Knight, regional talent director for Saatchi & Saatchi X, said: "We are passionate about providing opportunities and nurturing the future talent of this industry, we also want to provide an experience that is fun, creative, and at the heart of what we do, enabling us to tap into the most promising graduates for our space.

"In return they will gain exposure to the key decision makers and a real understanding of what it means to work in advertising, something that will hopefully give them an advantage in the pursuit of their first job."
