Official guide launched to help employers maintain business continuity during London Olympics

The Cabinet Office has launched a guide for employers to help them maintain business continuity during the Olympic Games in London next year.

In response to requests from the business community, the Civil Contingencies Secretariat (CCS) has been working with Government Departments and Olympic delivery partners including the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG), the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and the Greater London Authority (GLA) to produce a guide for businesses highlighting the key impacts that the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games could have on the running of business.

The guide covers areas such as: staffing, internet and home-working, telecoms, energy and water supplies, security and travel disruption and offers some basic advice on how to manage these impacts. The guide is aimed at businesses of all sizes, but will be particularly useful for smaller enterprises.
