He will be replacing Matthew Brearley, Vodafone UK's current HR and property director who had previously decided to leave Vodafone at the end of December to follow his charity interests for a few months, before
returning to corporate life later in the year.
Cloke has been at News International since 2003, where he led a number of HR and cultural change programmes. Before this, he was group HR director at MyTravel Group Plc and has also held other senior HR roles with Telewest Telecommunications and Allied Domecq. Daniel is a non executive Director at Roffey Park Management Institute.
Brearley (pictured below) has been with Vodafone UK for seven years, the last five of which have been as HR and Property Director.
