A fifth of young Londoners have gone into work drunk

A survey of 21-26 year olds has suggested that a fifth of young employees have attended work still under the influence of alcohol from the night before.

19% of those interviewed by nightclub website swisticming.com said they had gone into work still feeling the effects of drinks consumed the previous evening, with just over a quarter saying they had been in after just four hours sleep.

7% said they had knowingly driven to work over the legal limit.

8% said they had gone in without any sleep at all.

Veli Aghdiran from Swisticming.com said:"Most of us are guilty of turning up to the office with a hangover and not doing a great deal that day, but it seems that many are taking it a bit further and actually turning up still drunk."
