Hicks (pictured) has more than 25 years’ HR experience. Before joining Southern Housing Group, he was HR director EMEA at KAO Corporation, which is home to brands including John Frieda and Molton Brown.
He has also worked at Asprey of London, House of Fraser and Sainsbury's.
Hicks said he was drawn to the role at Southern Housing Group, which is one of the largest housing associations in the south of England, because of the organisation’s “strong history and reputation”.
He added: “This is an exciting time in the company’s development and I look forward to working with my colleagues to deliver the best HR service in the sector".
