Rob Briner’s other work-related research areas include ‘the psychological contract’, ethnicity, absence, work/non-work relationships, and food and organisations.
He is also involved in several initiatives around evidence-based management – including the Center for Evidence-Based Management – which seek to identify ways of increasing the use of evidence of various kinds (including academic research) in management practice.
Briner has supervised PhD students in areas ranging from work absence to emotional labour.
