Lynn Minella, group director of human resources, BAE Systems

?Lynn Minella joined BAE Systems in June 2012 as the group director of human resources and as a member of the company’s executive committee.

Prior to joining BAE Systems, Minella was the senior vice president for human resources and communications for Air Products, a global industrial gases company in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She joined Air Products in 2004 as a member of the company’s corporate executive committee and was responsible for the leadership and management of the human resources and corporate communications functions globally.

Before joining Air Products, Minella spent 22 years at IBM, where she served in a variety of HR leadership positions. Her last three roles were vice president of HR for IBM’s Software Group, vice president of HR for IBM’s Technology Group, and vice president of HR for Global Services Americas.

Minella relocated to London from the United States when she joined BAE Systems. She received a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations in 1981 from Cornell University.

In her HR career, Minella has been part of leading business transformations, business development, talent and leadership development initiatives, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and employee engagement programs and systems.

Minella was appointed a non-executive director of Ibstock in February 2016. She is a board member of Semta, a not-for-profit organisation responsible for developing engineering skills in the UK and is a member of the Advisory Board for CAHRS (Centre for Advanced Human Resource Studies) at Cornell University in the USA.

Minella enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and jogging.
