McAdam was appointed to the board as group HR director in 2009 and, in 2014, became group director of JCB’s Corporate University, which she helped to create.
McAdam has a broad experience within all aspects of HRM at both UK and international level, serving 22 plants worldwide and supporting a global workforce of over 13,000 employees. She is a patron of the NSPCC and is JCB’s NSPCC chairman. In 2013 JCB announced it had achieved its target of raising £1 million to create a specialised NSPCC service centre based in Stoke-on-Trent.
