Claire Hall, Global executive vice president of people, Menzies Aviation

Hall joined Menzies in October 2017 to oversee a global workforce of 35,000

Hall has been leading the way embarking upon a cultural change programme at Menzies Aviation in conjunction with the executive team, focusing on delivering a fantastic employee experience across the whole employee lifecycle then flowing through to the customer experience. In conjunction with this developing a suite of employee engagement and leadership development interventions that will trigger the cultural evolution that is critical to underpinning the growth strategy of the business.

The business will also be embarking on a new employee engagement measurement tool at the end of the year trialling in its Oceania region with the plan to roll out globally in 2019. Hall and her team are committed to the ongoing improvement of the employee and customer experience.

Hall joined Menzies Aviation with a wealth of experience gained over several decades from brands such as Tesco, Boots, British Gas and McDonald's. At the latter Hall was the driving force behind McDonald’s UK moves on culture and hospitality. She was also instrumental in helping to ensure the business continues to be recognised as a leading employer through its progressive moves on contracts, pay and benefits. As part of this in 2015 she led a campaign to recognise the value of soft skills bringing together a number of leading organisations including the CBI, National Youth Agency and Barclays. This was followed in 2016 by a campaign to recognise the benefits of a multigenerational workforce for employees, business and customers.
