Employers battling against the estimated 25% of interviewees who lie on their CVs will soon have something to cheer about. The government has agreed plans to give each 14-year-old and over a Unique Learner Number stored on an electronic database. It will give employers access to all their qualifications for life, eliminating in one foul swoop the temptation by candidates to soup up their CVs.
