Over mighty expansion by the supermarkets will be curbed after the Competition Commission's two-year investigation into the dominance of the 'big four' concluded farmers and consumers alike were getting a raw deal. In the past 10 years independent grocers have been squeezed from nearly 6% of the market to just 2.5%.
