Pizza Hut plans to use payroll and employee self-service technology to ease pressure on HR

Pizza Hut has launched online payslips and employee self-service technology to take some pressure off its HR department.

The restaurant company, which has 13,000 employees on a weekly payroll system, and 2,000 employees on a monthly one, plans to use NorthgateArinso's hosted technology to replace the bureau system it was previously using.

Pizza Hut will also start using a paperless process to put payslips online. Additionally, NorthgateArinso will provide manager self-service, enabling restaurant managers to check employee details online and manage their own HR administration.

Steve Packer, finance manager at Pizza Hut, said: "Pizza Hut is a fast-moving and innovative company always on the look out for ways to improve and become even more efficient.

"The functionality and flexibility of the new system allows us to further improve the HR and payroll services we provide for our restaurant teams."
