If you have control of the HR budget and want to network and learn from your peers, then this is your invitation to this year's People Strategy Forum.

Hear how leading HR directors and specialists are beating the recession in a packed workshop programme.

Martin Tiplady, Metropolitan Police Service HR director, will draw on his time there, and in other commercial and public organisations, to explore what makes HR fit, or unfit, for the role it performs. Is HR punching its weight? What makes for successful HR and how much does the function need to change if it is to survive?

Fiona Morgan, HR and change director at Lloydspharmacy, and Damian Hughes, author of Liquid Thinking, will advise on getting managers to manage change while Chris Roebuck, former head of talent at UBS, who currently works with the NHS, is joined by a CEO to discuss how to persuade the CEO to invest in training in hard times.

On day two Carol Ellis, HR director at world leading engagement company OC Tanner, speaks on creating a carrot culture and Tomas Humphris, head office HR and UK benefits director at media firm Informa advises how to recession proof your employee benefits provision.

The forum ends with Sean Connolly, visiting professor of organisational change at Birmingam City University and director of Egremont, offering his tips on not just surviving but thriving in the 2010s - how to enter the next decade in good shape. He will discuss how to respond to the current business climate based on what is going to happen in the next decade. He will explore six drivers that will affect our personal and working lives over the next decade and focus on what will separate the losers from the winners.

As well as the workshops, delegates will have ample opportunity to network in a relaxed environment including a first-night dinner complete with speaker Shaun Ellis, who has spent years living with and studying wolves to see what we can learn from their behaviour.

Places are limited so book today. For more information contact 020 8267 4108.
