Molton Brown launches retirement perks to support older staff

Molton Brown has launched retirement redesign courses to support its older employees.

The beauty product retailer is working with Jelf Employee Benefits to encourage staff to plan for their future and understand what their life will be like after retirement.

Small groups of staff will attend courses each year and will discuss issues such as managing loans, tax implications, budgets as well as state and occupational pensions. The courses have been designed to help staff consider their finances, time and feelings upon leaving retirement.

Natalie Morgan, group HR and development director at Molton Brown, said: "The stark fact is 15 million Britons will be retiring in 20 years time. It has always been Molton Brown's purpose to make sure all our employees have useful benefits, no matter which part of the work cycle they are in.

"We reiterate to our staff that offering these courses is not part of the 'final retirement conversation'. We don't want our people to feel nervous that they need to leave in, say six or 12 months. We just want to help staff with solid honest information so they can make the best choices when they do retire."
