Leonard Cheshire brings HR back in-house to give it flexibility

Leonard Cheshire Disability is bringing payroll and HR back in-house to help it manage its complex payroll needs.

The charity, which provides care and support services for disabled people in the UK, is using a single web-enabled solution for its more than 7,000 employees across 140 sites. It previously used an outsourced provider.

"Our payroll is extremely complex with a vast number of people with multiple contracts and a high number of TUPE transfers," explained project manager Philip Thompson.

"We were looking for a system that would allow our entire payroll to be administered in-house and would suit our unique and somewhat complicated HR requirements, giving us a certain level of flexibility and control."

The charity has selected iTrent, MidlandHR’s payroll, HR, talent management and workforce planning system.
