HR professionals who have experience of working in a business partnership model are also in high demand, according to Badenoch & Clark’s Professional Talent Spotlight monthly survey.
"Organisations are looking to HR business partners to sit on the leadership team and contribute to improving processes and making the business leaner and more efficient," said Lynne Hardman, managing director, professional services at Badenoch & Clark. "Those who can demonstrate strong business acumen and understanding are in high demand."
The FMCG, logistics and manufacturing sectors are actively hiring HR professionals, particularly at the senior business partner level. There has also been increasing demand for learning and development professionals since the beginning of the year, with retail, financial services and IT sectors particularly looking to fill L&D and job evaluation roles.
"Opportunities cross both public and private sectors, but the emphasis is tending to be at the specialist and managerial level. Organisations are feeling more confident about the future and are now willing to make these longer-term investments," said Hardman.
Specialist opportunities, such as technical training experts in financial services, strategic resource for CPD programmes within professional services, and the training of technical sales teams in the wider commercial sector are rising, while, on the interim side, organisations are increasing their requirements for resourcing professionals, particularly within the oil and gas, engineering and associated industries.
