Desmond was previously the HR director at Turkish energy company Genel Energy, and has also worked in senior HR roles at BG Group, Thames Water and HFC Bank.
“Having witnessed the company’s impressive growth in the past few years, I look forward to driving continuous improvement and innovations in HR practices and processes in the organisation,” said Desmond, who will be based in the firm’s London office.
Indian headquartered Apollo Tyres is among the 20 largest tyre manufactures in the world, with annual revenues of $2.1 billion in its most recent fiscal year.
