As part of a government training initiative, the college's employability team will help to equip workers with the right skills to be employed in line with current skills shortages and job opportunities, either within their current organisation or with a new employer.
Staff will also receive help with how to carry out a job search and advice on interview techniques.
Individuals under notice of redundancy, or who have been made redundant in the past three months, will be eligible for the training - as will businesses planning redundancies or who have staff under consultation.
The college's employability manager, Patrick Healy, outlines the benefits to employers. "Response to Redundancy will add real value to the redundancy process. In addition to the help provided to those affected, it can also help to maintain the reputation of the business through extending their duty of care.
"The college will work with employers to help prevent future redundancies by identifying the skills needs of their workforce and providing the appropriate training and support."
