Cary Cooper: HR should be proud of its senior women

Manchester Business School's Cary Cooper was inducted into the HR Most Influential Hall of Fame this year

HR can be proud of its inclusion and promotion of women in the profession, according to Cary Cooper, 50th anniversary professor of organizational psychology and health at Manchester Business School.

“The thing I love is that more women are getting into senior roles in HR,” he says. “I’ve been saying for a long time we don’t have enough women in the supply chain. And some of them are rising up and becoming CEOs. I love it.”

Cooper was inducted into the HR Most Influential Hall of Fame at this year's HR Most Influential event.

He said he was “chuffed” to be included in the Hall of Fame. “It’s such a great honour."
