Amnesty International sets up new system to manage the hiring process worldwide

Amnesty International has launched an international recruitment drive.

Working with Kenexa, a global provider of business solutions for human resources, Amnesty International has set up a new initiative to manage its international recruitment and hire the best people around the world.

Amnesty International's potential applicants for full-time, part-time and volunteer roles will be able to search for available jobs on its website, register and receive emails when jobs are posted and apply for jobs online.

Hiring managers at Amnesty International will also be able to use the system to review and approve applications online.

Helen Bloomfield, HR programme director at Amnesty International, said: "We chose Kenexa Recruiter BrassRing because it is an easy-to-use system that we can configure to suit our specific recruitment processes."

"We get up to 400 applications for some jobs and previously we were managing the process manually, which was very time-consuming. We hope the new system will free up managers' time to enable them to do more of their core work.

Kenexa Recruiter BrassRing allows HR staff to produce comprehensive reports showing how long it takes and how much it costs to hire staff, as well as providing equal opportunities information. HR staff can also build their own specific reports to look at issues such as why people leave certain roles.
