HRMI 2021: Dawn Morton-Young,Director, MLHR

Morton-Young is an executive coach to underrepresented managers; a diversity, equity and inclusion consultant/speaker/trainer; an HR consultant to SME’s; owner of the 1st HR consultancy for employees - Employee Angels, and a backing vocalist and session singer.

Morton-Young has worked in the people space for over 13 years, beginning her career in DEI as a Senior Equalities Officer for a large local authority and continuing her work as a Diversity and HR consultant within the Public, Non-Profit and Private sector for organisations such as London Borough of Camden; MIND; Verifone; CGI and Cardtronics.

Morton-Young’s passion for equity in the workplace, and goal to contribute to greater diversity in director level/ C-suite roles, led her to concentrate her NLP based coaching practice on those who are underrepresented in the workplace, whether through gender, race, or disability. She is also an advocate for parents of disabled children and carers in general – particularly in the workplace.

Having been seen in publications such as Forbes Magazine, The Telegraph, and The Guardian, Morton-Young also writes columns for various media outlets, and is a speaker on a variety of topics within the areas HR and Diversity & Inclusion both in the UK and abroad.

She tops off her portfolio career as a backing vocalist and session singer having worked with artists such as Emeli Sande, Ellie Goulding, and Madonna.
