HRMI 2021: Gemma Dale, Lecturer, Liverpool John Moores University

Dale is an experienced senior HR professional, chartered fellow of the CIPD, fellow of the HEA and a regular speaker and writer on a variety of HR topics including employee engagement, flexible and hybrid working and wellbeing. She is a Keele University graduate twice over, holding a law degree and a master’s degree in Employment Law and Industrial Relations.

Dale is the author of Flexible Working, published by Kogan Page in December 2020. Her new book ‘How to Work Remotely’ will be published in 2022.

Dale is currently a lecturer in the Business School at Liverpool John Moores University where she teaches employment law, employability, and personal development skills. She is also a qualified coach and mediator. Prior to joining Liverpool John Moores, Dale held a range of senior HR roles in telecommunications and healthcare, as well as running her own business The Work Consultancy.

Outside of work she is a qualified Personal Trainer and can usually be found in the gym.
