Before joining the Civil Service, Alder served 21 years in the private sector, in a variety of HR roles in the UK and abroad, across retail, manufacturing and consultancy.
Alder chairs the Civil Service HR Capability board. She is a trustee of the Whitehall and Industry Group, and a Steering Group member of Movement to Work.
