As a strategic HRD and member of the executive committee Breeze led the board through a fundamental review of the organisation structure, which resulted in the redesign of the organisation at group and business unit level. She has also created a new HR strategy for Land Securities, including talent, reward, organisational development, and culture, aligned around a new purpose, vision and values. She is a member of the group’s sustainability committee and attends investment committee, remuneration and nominations committee meetings.
Breeze spent 10 years at J Sainsbury, where her most recent role was director of HR, corporate. Highlights of her time there include: heading the leadership, culture and organisation strands of the successful 'Making Sainsbury’s Great Again' programme; transforming the central functions, which saved the business £50 million; and overhauling the reward programme, which significantly increased engagement levels across the leadership population. Prior to her time at Sainsbury’s Breeze was a senior manager in the human capital practice of Accenture, and before this she worked in the UK food business of Danone, and in the John Lewis Partnership. Throughout her career she has gained extensive experience in organisational change, culture, reward strategy and talent.
Breeze is a member of the International Advisory Board for Executive Education at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and advises the board of the UK Green Building Council. She is also a member of the Business Leaders’ Council of educational charity TeachFirst.
In her spare time Breeze enjoys walking and cycling trips with her family, listening to music and playing her clarinet.
