Bruce Daisley is a new addition to this list – and a rare example of someone landing a slot while not being directly involved in HR. Through his chart-topping podcast Daisley has gained an audience for bringing evidence and insight into the space, often with an agenda unshackled from conventional wisdom. His book, The Joy of Work, was spawned by his concern that "so little evidence of workplace psychology was reaching those in work", it has been a Sunday Times bestseller and is the highest-grossing business book of 2019.
