Andrew Campbell, director, Ashridge Strategic Management Centre

Andrew Campbell has been a director of the Ashridge Strategic Management Centre since it was formed in 1987 to research issues concerned with the management of multi-business companies.

Andrew Campbell directs research projects, runs management programmes and advises client companies, and is programme director of the centre’s Advanced Organisation Design, Designing Operating Models and Making Successful Acquisitions. Previously, he developed and led three of Ashridge’s strategy programmes: Group Level Strategy, Strategic Decisions and Strategy & Finance.

Before joining Ashridge, he was a fellow of the Centre for Business Strategy at London Business School. Before that, he spent six years with McKinsey & Co in Los Angeles and London.

Campbell has co-authored 10 books based on his research, including 2014’s Strategy for the Corporate Level: Where to Invest, What to Cut Back and How to Grow Organisations with Multiple Divisions, and has contributed articles to publications including Harvard Business Review.
