Unify appoints Olaf Horsthemke as executive VP and CHRO

Communications software and services firm Unify has announced the appointment of Olaf Horsthemke to the dual role of executive vice president and chief human resources officer.

Horsthemke has worked in HR for nearly 20 years. He has spent most of his career in the communications sector, where he has previously held roles at Siemens, Nokia and most recently Coriant, where he led the global HR function.

He will be responsible for all global HR processes at Unify and will report directly to CEO Dean Douglas.

Douglas called the appointment of an experienced HR leader “crucial” for supporting staff in new employee model “New Way to Work”.

“Olaf’s industry experience and commitment to our transformation goals delivers the leadership that Unify needs at this critical time,” he said.

Horsthemke welcomed his appointment “at a very exciting time of transformation” for Unify.

“I am pleased to join Unify and look forward to driving continuous improvement and innovation in our HR practices, to ensure that Unify truly exemplifies the New Way to Work,” he added.
