MasterCard appoints Ron Garrow as chief HR officer

Ron Garrow has been appointed as chief human resources officer at MasterCard.

Garrow, 49, joined MasterCard in March 2010 as group head, global talent acquisition management and development, reporting to Stephanie Voquer, who recently announced her retirement.

Before coming to MasterCard, Garrow held various HR leadership positions at Bank of America over a six-year period.

"I'm thrilled that Ron Garrow will now lead HR for us," said Ajay Banga, CEO, MasterCard Worldwide. "Over the past three years he has worked closely with Stephanie Voquer, which will ensure a smooth transition. His professionalism and his dedication to our company and our employees make him the ideal person to take us forward. On behalf of the entire MasterCard family, I am very pleased to congratulate him on his new role."
